I HAVE to stress that if your outfit doesn't meet dress code, you will not be able to participate in worship from the platform Sunday.
PLEASE have your parts completely learned and memorized. We will only have time to run through the set list and transitions tomorrow morning and will not have time to go over individual parts.
For general rehearsal, all rehearsal tracks are uploaded to Planning Center (as shown in the video) for you to rehearse and practice on your own time. Find the file that is labeled as the specific part that you play/sing. The instrument or part that is at the end of the file name will be accentuated and turned up louder than all other parts to help you focus on your notes and parts. Pay attention to what is being played/sang and when it comes in and goes out. Mimic your rehearsal track until you have the part memorized.
For example, if you sing Alto, you will find the files named, "COTR_SongName_XXbpm_XX_Alto.mp3" under each song. When you play that file, you will notice that the Alto part is turned up much louder than all the other parts in the song. When you learn and memorize that louder part, you have learned the Alto part for that song. The same principal applies to every other vocal and instrument in the song.
If you would like to listen to the entire song without any parts accentuated, just play the first file in the list that doesn't have a part name at the end of it.
PLEASE REHEARSE YOUR PARTS UNTIL YOU HAVE THEM FULLY MEMORIZED AND ARE READY TO CONFIDENTLY JOIN US IN LEADING WORSHIP IN SERVICE. It is our privilege and responsibility to be prepared spiritually AND in our parts so that we can be as effective as possible in how we lead. Worship is our duty to the Lord and the least we can do to honor His goodness, His mercy and His greatness. Let us ALWAYS give Him our absolute best in our preparation, our practice, our rehearsal and our leading. We must always be where God wants the Church to go!
The full band and praise team lead both the 9:00am and the 11:00am services each Sunday.
Please arrive at church for pre-service rehearsal between 7:30-7:40am. Be on stage and ready to start line check and sound check BY 7:45am. Rehearsal will begin at 8:00am. At 8:45am, after rehearsal, the team goes back to the Music Room to relax, and prepare for service. Everyone on the team is welcome to return to the music room after 9:00am worship, during the message. After 9:00am service is complete, you are welcome to visit around the church, in the music room, get a water, socialize, check rehearsal tracks, pray, etc., but must be in the music room ready for next service by 10:50am. After 11:00am worship, we enter the sanctuary for service. The music room is closed during the 11:00am message. The choir will not return to the platform for Altar Call in either service.
Even though we have a 9:00am and 11:00am service, I will only send out one service invite for each Sunday, since both services are the same. If you receive a 9:00am Planning Center Request, it applies to both the 9:00am AND the 11:00am service.
** When you get a request or invite in Planning Center, please accept or deny as soon as possible so I can plan that service accordingly and schedule alternates if needed. **
If you think of anything and have a question or comment, please message me directly. Also, if you have Facebook, join or Facebook group: www.facebook.com/groups/cotrworshipberea.
I am so grateful for you and your heart of servanthood and worship. I appreciate you giving your time, effort and gifts to glorify our Creator, His perfect Son, and His sweet Spirit. Let's do everything we can, as a team, to magnify His name in excellence and confidence!
